Aug 27, 2012 Los Angeles, CA — stainless.ai has announced that it has been awarded the IBC Innovation Award Shortlist honor as a technology partner with Turner Broadcasting in the Content Management category.
According to IBC, of the several thousand TV industry manufacturers, IBC selects a unique few for this shortlist honor in the “Content Management” category and recognizes the vendors involved in the technology delivery along with the award nominee.
The award recognizes stainless.ai’s innovation in metadata acquisition software for live sports which Turner has deployed along with Dalet, EVS, Active Storage, NetApp, Quantum, CineSys, Telecom Network Solutions and Enterprise Applications, in Turner’s Sports Central initiative. The Turner Sports Central initiative provides a centralized ingest and playout workflow for the system, which was developed in-house to record, log, edit and broadcast 27,000 live recording hours of content from more than 6,000 live sports events each year.
